A funder within the Chicagoland CareerPathways community is partnering with CP.net in an exclusive invitation-only grant opportunity to support middle skills training in Chicago! Nonprofit middle skills training providers with a Chicagoland CareerPathways program entry will be automatically considered for an invitation. Click the questions below to learn more.

Middle skills jobs are typically defined as those positions which require more than a high school degree, but not a bachelor’s degree. This RFP also takes into account whether the occupation in question offers the opportunity for a living wage. For more on middle skills jobs in Illinois, take a look at this fact sheet, courtesy of the National Skills Coalition.

Programs in the Chicagoland CareerPathways directory that help program participants in the city of Chicago enter into positions requiring advanced certificates and/or applied associates degrees may be invited to apply. Please note: This opportunity is only open to nonprofit organizations.

To ensure that you are considered for invitation, update your CareerPathways program entry by April 9, 2021. That’s it! We’ll do the rest. You will be invited to complete the remainder of the funding application if your program qualifies. All invitations will be sent the week of April 12, 2021.
